You need Adobe Reader 7.0 to read the DEL Articles. Adobe Reader 6.0 is not supported.

How do I download my Article?
- From our home page, click on My DEL on the top right side if you are an Individual user.
- This will take you to the My DEL sign-in page.
- Enter your username and password and click on Log In.
- You will now see a page with the following link:
Adobe PDF - Click on this link to view the PDF download access shelf, which gives you the list of Articles that you’ve purchased along with the start date and end date. Here click on Download to one-time download the file onto your computer.

What is Activation and why is it required?
Activation is a one-time process that enables your PC/Mac to
view digitally protected content like eBooks. The activation process downloads
keys that are needed to open eBooks/Articles that you buy.

How do I activate my reader?
To activate the reader, first open the reader. Then follow the steps mentioned below:
- Connect to the Adobe DRM Activator Web site: Select Tools > eBook Web Services > Adobe DRM Activator. This will take you to the Adobe DRM Activator Web site.
- Sign in: Sign in to the Adobe DRM Activator Web site using your Microsoft .NET Passport or your Adobe ID account.
- Create your Activation Profile: Enter your details to create your profile.
- Activate: Now click on the Activate button. You will be prompted to open/save a file. Open the file to automatically activate the reader.

Why do I need a Microsoft .NET Passport account?
Microsoft Passport is a free account that Adobe eBook users can sign up for through Microsoft. It is one way to identify users as unique individuals online. It enables users to view digitally protected content, like DEL Articles.

How many devices can I activate? Can I de-activate a device?
For Adobe PDF Articles, you can activate one PC or Mac. You cannot de-activate a device.

Can I read DEL Articles without activating?
No. With Adobe Reader 6.0, you cannot read DEL Articles without activating your Reader. The activation process is a one-time process that only takes a few moments.
All our Articles are encrypted and can be read only on activated copies of the Adobe Reader

Where are the Articles stored on my computer?
To access your DEL Articles in Adobe Reader6.0, open "My Bookshelf" from the File menu. Click on the eBooks icon and select My Bookshelf. The actual PDF files are stored in the following locations:
- Windows: My eBooks folder in the ‘My Documents’ directory
- MacOS: eBooks folder within the ‘Documents’ folder

Can I print or copy my Article?
Articles in PDF format cannot be copied or printed. This is a security measure implemented to safeguard digital content from uncontrolled distribution and copyright violations.

Can I add my own notes to my Article?
Yes. The Adobe Reader includes many features like full-text search within and across Articles, text highlights, auto-scroll, annotation and bookmarks to make reading an Article a pleasurable experience. Click here to read more about the Adobe Reader format.

Can search for text across the Articles in my Adobe Reader Bookshelf?
Yes. You can search for words and phrases not only within the Articles but also across all the Articles in your collection. You don’t even need to have the Articles open to search them.
Please note, however, that you will need to/must have opened the Article at least once before you can search it.

Can I take a backup of my Articles?
No, you cannot take a backup of your Articles as per the
security measures implemented to prevent unauthorized duplication and copyright
violations of the Articles.

How can I recover my Articles in the event of a system crash?
Please note that DEL Articles are available for a one-time download only at the ‘My DEL’ – Articles once downloaded will not appear in ‘My DEL’ for a repeat download. In the event of a system crash please contact Customer Support.

Can I read my Articles on the Mac platform?
Yes. The minimum system requirement for eBook use is Mac OS version 10.2.4. Please be advised that the new Adobe Reader does not support Mac OS 9.

Can I read my Articles on multiple machines?
No. The DEL Articles are encrypted and cannot be read on multiple machines.
